it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are curious, dedicated, and determined. They are committed to their learning and remain eager to learn more through new experiences and resources. With so many changes to their school environment due to COVID-19, I am looking for ways to keep students engaged in the curriculum and motivated throughout their lessons. They are working day by day toward their goals and dreams, despite the challenges this pandemic has set for them during their most formative years. I am privileged to work with such a group of bright and energetic students during my first year as a teacher and am excited to see their growth as the school year continues.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by allowing them exposure to additional informational and image related resources. Additionally, students spend a lot of their learning time copying charts, graphs, and models. The requested supplies would be extremely useful to make sure most of the students' time is spent learning and inquiring, rather than copying. A printer, paper, and ink have been requested to better provide students with in-class handouts such as images and graphs as well as take-home resources.
Materials such as folders and notebooks will be used to create student portfolios and journals to give students opportunities to express themselves as well as to preserve their work.
