Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are in either second or third grade and are in small classroom settings. My students are all students who need differentiation, repetition, and explicit teaching. There are no more than 12 students in my classroom each year. They are eager to learn! They appreciate and value their differences.
My Project
Students have been using iPads for about two years. Pens and pencils have become unfamiliar to many of them. I would like to provide them more printed materials for reading and writing to support their penmanship and learning. Providing printed materials will allow students to easily review their work, edit their writing, read printed articles and books, and practice their handwriting. Many have forgotten how to write their names because they have been reliant on technology. I hope to improve their writing and learning with these materials. These pre-made materials will also save time and preparation and allow to focus more on the lessons created than supplements.
