My Students
My class is full of students who are eager, excited, and motivated to learn. I teach a first grade gifted and talented class at a large public school in New York City. There are thirty-two children in the class, all amazing thinkers with diverse needs and a wide range of abilities. They have a variety of interests and a love for learning. Their interests spread throughout all areas of literacy, math, science, social studies, and technology. They love learning through hands-on and interactive activities.
My Project
We still don't fully know what this upcoming year will bring, but we expect that with a blended learning model, students will spend some time learning in school and some time learning at home.
I have requested math materials that my students will be able to bring home for use with math lessons during remote learning.
I have also requested post-it note chart paper and markers that will be used to make posters during lessons that can be hung around the classroom and easily moved so that students can see them while still remaining socially distant.
