This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is one of the largest elementary schools in NYC. Located in the culturally diverse community of Queens, the student body is full of unique personalities. These students rise to any challenge and are fearless toward new adventures. As English language learners, school is the primary, and sometimes the only, source for them to listen to and practice the language. They rely on authentic and meaningful experiences in school, and now we have to figure out how to give them those experiences remotely.

Through Teachers Pay Teachers resources, I will be able to buy visuals and activities to help my students understand key science concepts.

I can also buy educational games and other engaging learning activities that relate to standards being taught, and that the students will be able to do online.

Your donations to our project will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will ultimately be helping to increase their academic achievement. These resources will continue to be available to students as learning tools for the following school year and beyond.
