Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a big, diverse city, and each have a special education diagnosis with an IEP. Some have tough home situations. They love to learn and I want them to stay motivated by keeping each one of them engaged. They deserve to have access to technology and materials that continue to help learning stay fun. I believe they will be even more successful when they have access to content through varied mediums because they all learn differently.
My Project
These materials will help support my students' learning. They will benefit from posters for reminders of fundamental skills, as well as having the visual of a hundreds chart. They all need to have their own supplies right now, so the bins with lids will help keep them organized, as well as less likely to be misplaced. Each of them having their own sheet protectors will also be very beneficial. They need to stay in one spot, so the wobble chairs, especially right now, will help them get some input and better able to stay more focused. I hope they get the opportunity to become excited about using these items, in a time where we can all use some uplifting.
