Resource Conserving Resources for Special Education Resource Class
Help me give my students tools to feel empowered while saving paper! These supplies support a special education resource class, without it's own classroom. The intention is to develop student ownership while working towards individual goals.

My Project
Middle school students in special education have a need to feel success every day. The goal of this project is to develop an efficient, organized resource class, despite not having our own classroom. The supplies for this project would provide each student practice of executive functioning skills.
Each student receives a Resource Binder to include weekly individualized practice activities, catered toward academic goals.
The Resource Binders will stay "in class". The rolling cart is necessary as this Resource class occurs in another teacher' classroom, therefore materials are transported to and from the classroom, daily.
Conserving paper is another aspect of this project. Each Resource Binder will include plastic protectors for activity sheets. Fine tip dry erase markers allow students to practice skills while saving the paper for another use. Not all students thrive using technology involving screens, therefore this project provides a hands-on option for learning.
Let's talk about the stickers! Students will get a motivational boost, as daily practice rewards, to choose a fun or inspirational sticker. I have discovered that middle school students love stickers. A great use for stickers; decorate their Resource Binder!
The intention of this project is to develop independence and make an ungraded class a little more enjoyable. While our Resource class is limited in making the physical space our own, students can feel a sense of ownership over the tools that are meant for them. Thank you for showing interest in our students.
