Help me give my students the essential classroom supplies like pencils, notebooks, they need to feel supported, stay organized, and succeed in math, no matter the challenges they face.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach an amazing group of fifth and sixth grade students in a special education resource classroom at a Title I school. Each of my students brings their own unique strengths, challenges, and personalities to the room, and I’m incredibly proud of the progress they make every day, both academically and personally.
My students work hard to overcome learning differences, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and other disabilities.
They benefit from smaller group instruction, individualized support, and a calm, structured learning environment. Many come from low-income households and don’t always have access to the supplies they need to succeed in school.
Despite these obstacles, my students show up with determination, creativity, and a desire to learn. They inspire me daily with their resilience and heart, and I’m committed to giving them the tools and environment they deserve to reach their full potential.
By providing these resources, you empower my students to take an active role in their learning, fostering a supportive and engaging math classroom where they can thrive. These tools will not only help them tackle mathematical challenges but also build their confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.
