Our students love to read but struggle to find books in our school library that they enjoy. The books are very outdated and I don't blame the students for not wanting to read them. Graphics novels are what the kids are interested in the school library has none.
The Dogman books we currently have in my personal library are disappearing because the students are enjoying them so much they don't want to return them.
And with the movie coming out, the books have become even more popular. This set will replenish what we have and hopefully make the students eager to read them before they see the movie. The other graphic novels are for our struggling readers who still want to read but can't read the Dogman Books. The laminating pouches will help me create a system for checking out the books to make sure they are returned in a timely manner.
