My Project

Our students communicate with us through various methods, occasionally needing a break, or reset, in order to refocus & relax. The tools funded by this project would give students the opportunity to choose an alternative resource such as social emotional videos, followed by group discussion or use of a sensory bin with multiple flexible seating options. This will help them learn self-regulation of sensory needs in a group environment in order to better communicate with peers & education support team alike. Learning to communicate in socially appropriate ways, using various tools, is particularly important to our special needs students. We hope to support them through this project.
