My Students
Our New York City middle school serves students in grades 6-8. Our school is very project-based and we seek to engage and stimulate our students as they work to solve real world problems. This year students will be writing real estate ads for ancient civilizations and creating research based presentations and newsletters.
The students in our school represent the diverse population of New York City.
Our ambitious and hard-working students are eager to learn and express themselves. We often use multiple formats to present information in our classroom to help learners of all levels.
My Project
This year my students will be using their Chromebooks to access class lessons, research information and develop their writing skills. Many of our class lessons will be posted online so students will be able to access the class lectures and PowerPoint presentations all year.
As developing historians, they will research historical events to help clarify their understanding and determine the validity of the information they read.
As always, they will write their finding in essays and complete real world assignments such as writing a real estate advertisement and newsletters. Having access to technology in the classroom, insures that all students will be successful and will always be able to complete the work assigned.
