My students are empathetic, thoughtful and kind. They act as though we are a family. These kids work hard to be successful and to be good citizens of the world. What I love most about my students is how much they care for me and each other. They are truly great kids and work hard to please.
My students are eager to learn, curious, and constantly asking questions, wanting to learn more.
Our school is in Lake St. Louis, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri.
We are big fans of the St. Louis Blues, St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis FC, and the Ambush!
I will be teaching my students how to plan and conduct a research project based around the American Revolution. I plan to have students work in research teams to choose a subtopic of the American Revolution and research it. They will work together as a group to teach their subtopic to the rest of the class.
By donating to our project, you will not only help students learn how to perform research, but you will also assist in engaging them in topics of their country that they are excited to learn about!
Students will use the books purchased to learn research strategies such as note-taking, identifying text structures and summarizing information about the American Revolution.
We do not currently have the books needed to research the American Revolution, so any help would be greatly appreciated!
