Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Incorporating technology like tablets can aid students in communication and academic engagement. Adding a rug and bean bag chairs can create a calming environment, helping students regulate emotions. These elements contribute to a supportive learning atmosphere, promoting relaxation and focus, and nurturing emotional well-being. By investing in these resources, you are not only addressing the practical needs of my students, but also nurturing their emotional well-being and fostering a positive learning environment.

My goal for this project is to use the materials to enhance my students' learning experience.

I aim to provide them with resources and tools that will empower them to be self-reliant in their everyday activities.

To achieve this goal, I plan to create interactive lesson plans that incorporate various materials to engage my students and cater to different learning styles. By providing them with access to a wide range of resources, such as educational videos, online simulations, and hands-on activities, I aim to empower them to take charge of their own learning. Together, we will work towards creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment, where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.

This year, my class is named The Best Kiddos because that's exactly what they are – the BEST. My students attend daily and have to put in twice the effort compared to typically developing children, as they learn and process information in unique ways. Nevertheless, they come in every day and work diligently. Please donate and assist me in supporting their learning journey.
