My Project

Students come to our school for the arts. We stand out as one of a few schools in our state labeled as a performing arts school. We are a safe space for students to explore arts. As a new school, we are developing our middle school visual arts program.

The students are learning how to use visual arts for social change.

From the early printing presses to contemporary artist Swoon, printmaking has had an important role in social change over time.

With a printing press, students will learn how reproduction in art supports social change and be able to have a voice of their own.
