Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The first graders will be coming in to this grade with knowledge about their friends and peers from kindergarten. They will continue to learn with other students how they are alike and also different from others and work on their independence as well as collaboration. The diversity in this classroom of students build on their prior experiences that each one is unique and contributes to their classroom, home and neighborhood community. The materials and activities will help promote this new environment and learning as the students encourage each other to build upon their skills of communication, partnership and sharing their own stories.
