My Project

In our school, we believe that understanding history requires more than dates and events. It demands empathy and connection. We would like to provide for students small group sets of historical fiction books that highlight diverse perspectives. These texts will represent a range of cultures, experiences, and viewpoints.

Reading about characters who navigate the complexities of their times encourages students to engage deeply with the material.

By exploring the unique challenges and triumphs of individuals from diverse backgrounds, students can develop a richer understanding of history. This experience fosters empathy, as they learn to see the world from someone else's perspective, transforming historical events into relatable narratives.
