Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Rich read aloud are an essential part of each day in my classroom. I am always looking for additional texts that will help develop my students vocabulary and comprehension skills. Being able to engage in rich conversations and answering questions that students can infer or share information from their personal lives is important when it comes to literacy growth.
More importantly I want to ensure that I have read aloud where students see themselves represented.
Not just their physical attributes but also their neurodiveristy. Children should be able to celebrate their differences and not feel embarrassed. Everyone of my students brings unique qualities that makes our classroom community so strong.
I look forward to adding more read aloud to our classroom library that my students are excited to read!
