My Students
My students love school and learning!
My classroom will have 25 eager to learn, first grade scholars who come from different backgrounds and home situations.
Many have already overcome challenging obstacles at their young age and may lack confidence in themselves. It is important for them to feel confident in themselves and to have hopes and dreams so that they can persevere when faced with challenges.
My Project
These books and art materials will help my students to connect with the content and learn more about the world around them. By using these books in my lessons I am hoping to create opportunities for discussions about differences, lessons of empathy and kindness and setting goals and hopes for their futures.
These books will be windows into the world and also mirrors in which my students will be able to see themselves.
My students should be able to see themselves in the characters they are learning about as well as learn about others and what makes them unique and special.
