Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This past school year, I felt that my students had materials that supported them with their socio-emotional needs but were limited in their representation.
I’m hoping that in receiving the books and materials listed, students can feel represented, and open to learning more about others and their cultures.
Our school incorporates many cultural events throughout the year, but I’d like to ensure they have that reminder in our Wellness Center. I am also requested to provide socio-emotional lessons to classrooms, so I would like to be able to provide additional resources and activities.
