My Students

My kindergarteners are curious, busy, and full of potential. It takes a lot of work, energy, and resources to keep up with these students' rapidly-growing minds and energetic little bodies, but I wouldn't have it any other way!

Kindergarten is the launchpad to a lifetime of learning, and as teachers we strive to get them started off right.

Kindergarten is a time of discovery and tremendous growth, not only are they learning the ABCS and 123s, but they are also learning essential concepts such as independence, self-awareness, social skills, and emotional regulation.

My Project

Children in every era have enjoyed listening to stories. In our classroom, students have the chance to listen to audiobooks at our "listening center". Our current selection of audiobooks is limited and outdated. These materials will help me update and expand my audiobook collection.

These new books include characters and stories representative of a wider variety of cultures and backgrounds, to reflect the our increasingly diverse school.

At our school, we like to say "All are welcome here". Providing culturally diverse literature is one way we can show that we truly believe in this sentiment.
