Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our garden club members are hardworking and creative. They diligently planted and harvested a winter garden before our Christmas break. And, they have big plans for our Spring Garden. Part of those plans include writing a bi-monthly article for our school newsletter and social media. These kids are awesome at taking photos and reporting on the happenings in our garden.
My Project
We're fortunate to have credit available to spend due to a sponsor matching donations. We've been informed that this credit has to be used for the same item requested in the original project. This means we can get a 2nd tablet to document our activities in the garden.
Again, the photos and articles will be posted to our school's social media sites by our student gardeners using this tablet.
Being able to include information researched and written to accompany their photos will add another level of ownership for our garden club members with regards to all they do to keep our garden growing in size and digital literacy.
