My Students
EHS is an amazing school with a student population that is extremely diverse. Our students have the benefit of attending an incredibly diverse school. This allows for students to be exposed to many different cultures and learn from each other. EHS is the hub for English Learners. We have approximately 22 different ethnicities and just as many languages. EHS has a large homeless population and more than half of the student population is eligible for free and reduced lunch. Although many of our students struggle with many daily life challenges, the atmosphere here at school is amazing. The sense of community at our school is incredible. We work hard to support all students with all backgrounds and this is why we are such a great school.
My Project
Stories are an easy way to help kids look at the world around them differently. Reading books that interest students will not only help with their reading comprehension, it will help to build on their curiosity.
We are looking to add to our class library that will include topics such as racial justice, identity and more.
Each and every student deserves to have access to books that they are interested in that will help them to grow.
Every year we need to expand our classroom library. With help from the community, we can achieve this goal.
