Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a fifth-year math teacher in a neighborhood of a large city in Pennsylvania, many of my students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many obstacles they face in their life outside of school, I am looking to be a support to my students by providing them with materials that make the math classroom more interactive and accepting.
My students enjoy anything that makes class fun and simple, and by helping fund my project, you are helping to show students that there is joy in mathematics.
My Project
Thank you for looking into my project. As the end of the first semester nears, some of our supplies are running low as well. My students use pencils, erasers, and glue sticks every day in class. Since so many students are using glue sticks, they run out quickly! I also give out pencils and erasers to students who need them, and have begun to run out. I'm hoping to have a fresh start of supplies as I begin my new classes in semester two. Having all the supplies we need will make it an easy transition into the second semester!
