Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year I am teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math and social studies. By the end of the year, I want all of my students to be achieving at or above grade level and to have grown to be more responsible, self-motivated learners.

I work in a small school in a large urban district, and as a result, we are often lacking resources.

My students work hard every day and deserve to have the supplies they need to learn best. I am requesting supplies that we will need both for the classroom and for individual students this school year. Many of my students do not come to school with supplies at the beginning of the year, and I quickly run out of the supplies that I have purchased on my own after passing them out to students.

Some of the supplies that I've requested include pencils and graphing paper for individual student use, as well as supplies for the whole class like colored pencils, pens, dry-erase markers, glue sticks, and cleaning supplies like air freshener and spray to keep our classroom clean and welcoming.
