My Project
Over the course of the 2024-2025 school year, our middle school students have lost a number of library books. This selection of books will help us replace the lost titles. Many of the books are part of popular series that have proven to inspire a love of reading and encourage consistent library use. Replacing these lost books will ensure that new students can continue to enjoy these series.
Additionally, our book list includes several LGBTQ books that we don't want to go without - especially since they seem to get lost more frequently than other titles.
These books provide representation and validation for LGBTQ students and promote empathy and understanding among all students. Having access to diverse perspectives helps middle schoolers develop critical thinking and social awareness—skills that are vital for their personal growth and for building a respectful community.
By raising funds to replace these specific books, we are not only restoring valuable reading materials but also reinforcing our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and literacy development. Your support will directly impact students’ access to stories that reflect their experiences and expand their worldview, creating a richer, more welcoming educational space for everyone.
