My students need headphones and Chromebooks to help aid in individual computer based learning. We currently have 5 working computers in our room that are from 2006.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
They have been trained to think out of the box through arts integration. My students learn through dance, visual art, music and theater to help create a deeper understanding of the material that is being taught.
They love to show you another way of learning in many different forms.
We are a Title I school and all students have free or reduced-price lunches. Technology is the weakness area in our school and being in a low income area, technology isn’t something that all of my students have access to at home.
My Project
We have five working computers from 2006 currently in our classroom. We really could use a few Chromebooks to help speed rotations between students when using the computers totaling 7. This would allow students to rotated to me, with a group, and to a computer more easily.
My goal is to slowly build enough for every student to he able to have one for use.
My students are trained through arts integration, and are out of the box creative thinkers. Adding the access to technology within the classroom will only make them stronger learners. Especially since most of my students do not have access to technology at home.
