My students make up our high school engineering pathway. These students work hard to learn the different areas of engineering while excelling in their core classes. They give up lunches, weekends, and after school time to expand their knowledge and compete in competitions.
All of my students give their best effort in their pursuit of knowledge.
Most students in the program want to move on to become engineers. All of the students love the relationships that they build and the skills they obtain from our 4 year program.
Most of my students lost everything in the camp fire. They no longer have houses, clothes, supplies, etc. Calculators are last on their list of items to replace. We are asking students to go back to school and learn. They are more worried about where they are staying tonight, will they be able to get to school, will they be able to rebuild their houses in Paradise.
I am trying to resupply all my wildfire surviving students with calculators.
This will allow them to do their classwork and homework without another barrier. These students have been through a lot and have a lot on their minds.
