Renovating Our Rise Class: Reaching Individuals Through Structured Education

Help me give my students flexible seating options, as well as resources that will ensure their academic, social & emotional growth.

My Project

Our "RISE" (Reaching Independence Through Structured Education), class family is composed of students in grades 3-6, with unique abilities. Although we are a self-contained class, we are constantly on the move - utilizing various locations in the classroom. I would love to add some additional flexible seating options to our repertoire, in an effort to allow students to have choices when choosing the spot where they can do their best work.

Additionally, I would love to acquire some organizational tools within our classroom, as we have various resources that need to be both "hidden", and easily accessible to our students.

It is vital that we have organized work spaces, as well as ample room for our plethora of movement breaks!

Task boxes are also a huge part of our center activities. We rotate these every few weeks, depending on seasons, holidays, focus skills, etc.. We often rely on TpT to acquire our cross-curricular center activities. It is a very tedious process to prep our centers, as we need to print, laminate, cut, and velcro. Being able to purchase pre-made material definitely helps us save on time. Having a TpT gift card would help alleviate out-of-pocket costs throughout the year.

Lastly, we are a class that incorporates all the visuals. This means we are also always running low on lamination and Velcro - essentials in a Life Skills class! I would like to stock up on these materials, so that we are always ready to support our visual learners.
