Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After several years of not having wall space available, I am finally able to have the space to allow my students to get up, move around, and work on vertical whiteboards during math class.
The collaboration and movement in 90 minute classes is essential in keeping the students motivated and learning.
I was without access to my walls for a few years due to other equipment in the room, but it’s finally moving out to its own location, freeing up the space and allowing me to enhance student learning.
These items: dry erase markers, erasers, and poster boards, will give the students the supplies they need while allowing me to see their thinking in a student-centered environment. Many of these students struggle in math and these supplies will allow me to help them be successful.
