Provide a safe and loving spot for children to grow and learn. My second grade students live in one of the most poor and dangerous neighborhoods in California. We are a struggling charter school that serves underprivileged low income children.

My students have made inspiring improvements both emotional and academic despite the challenges. We struggled through a year with no heat in the winter and no air conditioning in the summer. Six of our seven classroom were displaced due to flooding. Just when we thought we had gone through the worst, our school was burglarized three different times. Despite these conditions our students still come to school ready to learn, and look beyond the many fiscal things we can't provide them. They never complain about sitting on the old stained carpet that's outlined with yellow duct tape.

We need a bright and colorful rug to make our classroom feel warm and inviting. We have a very large classroom with limited materials and funds to turn this cold and drab classroom into a exciting place to learn.

Please support our children by giving them a cheerful rug that provides a place for everyone. You will make it possible for them to sit in a clean and comfortable area, while they learn and engage in the curriculum.
