This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are cooking up a project to celebrate the reading culture that exists at our school and support making reading a social and community-building activity.

Our Remy Reads project features a series of activities for students to do socially, as part of ELA-sponsored events, or as class projects.

The button maker will be used by students to make special Remy Reads buttons for rewards/incentives for students who participate in the project. The poster frames will be used to display the "Readerboards," which are student created posters and book maps. Some other low-tech activities include implementation of interactive bulletin boards using the dry erase components supplies.
