Removing Home Barriers by Meeting Basic Hygiene Needs

Help me give my students basic hygiene supplies such as toothbrushes, wipes, floss, and mouthwash to meet our students' hygiene needs.

My Project

Some of our families struggle financially. Our school has put together a program that helps meet the basic needs of our families. Student support services has started the backpack program that helps meet the needs of our students' families. Lowering home barriers has been the main focus of our program. When students don't have to worry about food or hygiene products such has toothbrushes, floss, baby wipes, and brushes, it helps students keep a clear mind to stay focused on their academics.

Meeting hygiene needs is essential for building trusting relationships between home and school.

Asking for feminine products can be embarrassing for any student and being told no or we don't have that can be even worse. Helping provide these items to students can make or break their day. Students also have anxiety over bad breath or dirty clothing. donating to this project helps us remove this need.
