All of the items that have been chosen will help students to learn about their emotions and give them tools for building reliance and cope with being unregulated at time. When students are unregulated due to sensory or emotional needs it makes it difficult for them to learn in the educational setting. For example scented putty can help a child showing anxiety learn to use coping skill to control their anxiety. Children's books are great way for student to relate to things they are learning about. In this case all of these books are about emotions. Books will help students to understand the emotion they are trying to express appropriately.
