COVID-19 has changed the landscape of our world! No group is more significantly impacted than our children. In the blink of an eye, my preschool special needs students no longer had access to our classroom. They are learning from their living rooms, bedrooms, and many other places. These 3-5-year-old special needs students need opportunities to continue to build on the skills we were working on in our classroom.
It is critical that I find ways to reach them and stay engaged!
Keeping their learning going is my greatest desire. Remote teaching is much more than providing digital links, its making personal connections through any format possible. Currently, I am trying to teach my students through Videoconferencing. I want to see my students and continue to have a personal connection with them.
My Project
The wireless headphones, document camera, and presentation click control will allow me to keep my hands free as I present materials to my students in our Google Meetings. I will use the document camera to focus on books that I will be reading aloud to my students. I know that these materials will make it easier for me to present to my students, but they will also make the material that I am presenting more visible for my students. Remote teaching has many challenges; by obtaining these materials, I will have better presentations for my students. I want all of them to continue to get the very best that I can offer them.
