This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in a Title I school in Miami Beach. My students are imaginative and inquisitive kids. Most of them come from underprivileged households, mostly non-English speakers. They are passionate about school, they have a great attitude towards learning. We are in the midst of the most sweeping education experiment in history. The pandemic has forced us to find ways to teach without what most important, the daily face-to-face interactions.
My Project
With virtual learning becoming the way of education for the 2020-2021 school year, I need technology to virtually teach my students. My laptop is a critical tool for remote learning. Too many times, my current computer fails on me. Freezing, buffering, loading .... it creates so much wasted time, time I could be preparing, posting, and teaching my curious kiddos.
I use it everyday to connect with my students, prepare, research and deliver their lessons.
It will help me bring the lessons alive!
The students will love all the features it can do. They will enjoy going on virtual field trips without worrying the screen will freeze. By giving me a laptop, I can live stream virtual lessons and create content for remote learning.
