For many children, their school becomes a place that is safe and comfortable. With that being said, their classroom becomes their home away from home. This is true for my students. However, this second home is one that is extremely diverse in many aspects.
My students are bright and have so much to offer one another with all their different cultures and even life experiences.
My students' needs also vary. We know all individuals are different, which means their style of learning is different, and their emotional needs are different. I have students who fall on grade level, where others fall above and below too.
Each and every student within the class fits perfectly into our class puzzle. We, as a whole, are each a puzzle piece, put together to create one amazing piece of art. I like to call this art... family.
My Project
The world right now is working together to heal. With many challenges being faced all around the world, educators are continuing to keep a normal routine for our students. The new normal of remote learning, alongside face to face instruction, is a hefty task.
I have a passion for teaching, my students and their education is what is keeping me going during these difficult times.
Each morning I try and reassure my students, together we will all get through this. I explain the importance of how they need to keep their education alive. I split my time by teaching the students whose parents have decided to have them come into the building for their education and those students who are still remote and learning from home. So you see my day is hectic, but I wouldn't change a thing because, in the end, I am doing what I love.
I am asking for an updated laptop so I can better assist my students in the remote learning process. I am currently multitasking and breaking up my day by teaching my students who are in the building and then bouncing to a new room to teach my students who are home. An upgraded laptop will give me the double screen access I need to mentor my students during live instruction, show my screen to teach them off, and then have access to view their work as need be.
