This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are inquisitive, eager young learners from the Brooklyn, New York. They come from Latino immigrant households in a low-income neighborhood. My class is a blend of general and special education with English Language learners. My students have a pulsating thirst for gaining new skills and knowledge. They put 101% effort into all of their work, even when confronted with obstacles. They will need some extra support during the 2020-2021 school year and I am looking forward to working hard with them and my team!
My Project
NYC public schools will open in September and my class of 31 students will begin second grade in a completely different way. Through blended learning, they will engage in instruction both at school and at home. The majority of the students have received technology from the DOE back in March.
Earbuds with a microphone and noise cancelling feature will support learning at home, where distractions run high.
This product will allow for students with distinct learning needs to focus and participate to their highest potential remotely.
The clear organizational folders will be used to communicate important information to families and transport student work and books home. This product will help the students and their families stay organized and keep track of materials and expectations for learning at home and at school.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
