Remote Learning Supporting Tools for Remote Teaching
Help me give my students a monitor to work on different sites. Headphones are crucial in order to block out noise. All else is for connectivity and protection for items that to be used to make student work.

My Students
My students beat the odds every single day. Most come from low-income housing. Most live in the Bronx. Most are either immigrants or first-generation Americans. Most try to make the best possible outcomes day in and day out. All of my students have so much potential to make incredible versions of themselves. I know that, even though they may have missed an assignment or had a rough start to their day, they are trying in the face of constant adversity to further their development. Others may see youth and think they have them all figured out because of how they look or present themselves. My students don't care, because they know themselves. Yet, through it all, they keep trying to force a future where they are thriving.
My Project
Now that we are working mainly at home for remote learning, I need tools and equipment in order to maximize remote teaching. First, a monitor will tremendously help with teaching simultaneously on Zoom and showing examples on my screen without having to go back and forth on the same screen. This will allow less confusion for my students and save time, which will benefit students. I just got funded for a MacBook and need some additional accessories for that. This includes a case for protection, a mini dock to hook up different cables such as the monitor, headphones in order to block external sound in this very loud city, and an HDMI cable to connect the monitor to my laptop. This will benefit students because it will create a better learning environment by ensuring I have the necessary tools and equipment to teach them. Lastly, having a printer will be helpful in order to print documents as needed for students. By having these tools, students and I will have better relationships and have an environment that will produce better student work, ultimately benefiting students.
