Help me give my students what they need to succeed at home. They struggle with so many distractions at home and would benefit from using headphones, microphones, privacy partitions, and timers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are happy, motivated, and eager to learn despite the challenges of remote learning. They do their best to engage in class discussions, answer questions, and provide input on everyday class activities. They make up a third/fourth grade bridge class that includes a variety of academic levels and performance abilities. They have been asked to step up this year and face our new norm which they have done so gracefully. They are learning how to type on their computers, follow virtual classroom rules and norms all while being responsible and accountable for their independent work without their teachers standing next to them all day. It has already been such a joy having them in our class and we want to do our best to provide them with the support and materials they need to succeed this year.
My Project
Having these materials will allow our students to focus and engage in everyday lessons/activities. Our students face daily challenges that include distractions at home due to today's climate and remote learning.
These materials will help them overcome the obstacles and barriers that prevent them from learning and working at their greatest potential.
We teach in a low income area with a highly diverse population and the needs are great in several areas of care, academics, and social emotional learning. These simple tools mean so much to our kids and the will appreciate any way you can help make their lives better.
