Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
There are 25 students in my 1st Grade ICT classroom. My students are from low-income families. Many of the students have limited resources at home. Most of the students rely on school resources to learn their academics. Parents often borrow supplies from the school and classrooms to further assist their children's education at home.
Many students have IEPs, special services, and ENL services.
Since our students have a variety of needs, we want to create a welcoming and warm environment for our students to learn in. Our students benefit from routines and organization so they can be comfortable and ready to learn.
My Project
The materials I am requesting is for remote learning materials that I can duplicate and send home. Many of my students are learning from home but they have very limited learning resources. Since my students all have technology, I will be able to use these materials to send them virtual assignments and learning tools to further support their learning from home.
We need to learn and be safe!
Due to the current circumstances, teachers have had to immediately become tech-savvy in order to support our students. From my parent surveys, I have realized that digitalized materials worked best for my students. These materials will be a huge support for helping my students learn safety in remote learning.
