Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 5th grade students are fully bilingual, smart, kind and dedicated but they happen to be economically disadvantaged. As first generation Americans, they have had countless personal challenges but in school they have the resources they need to be successful and grow. My students' knowledge, strength, compassion and ability to collaborate and learn from each other to develop a second language is inspirational.

Even though they are challenged economically and culturally, they have proven with their high grades and test scores that no STAAR is too high.

My Project

We are living through a pandemic and the school district is working on providing the online platform to continue supporting the education and learning of the kids remotely. However, most of my students are economically disadvantaged and their parents are unable to provide them with technology resources.

Without the technology devices, students won't be able to take advantage of the online resources and continue with their education.

Please help us support families and their kids' education from home by donating laptops that will allow them to connect with their teachers and access online school resources to support their learning.
