This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
PS 64 students are a diverse group of low income children living in the lower part of Manhattan in New York City. My students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom. The supplies needed will support students who will be learning remotely. Our school contains both general education classrooms and ICT classrooms. ICT is an Integrated Co-Teaching Classroom (ICT) where students with disabilities receive integrated co-teaching services and are educated with age appropriate peers in the general education classroom. ICT provides access to the general education curriculum and specially designed instruction to meet students’ individual needs. PS 64 students are caring, energetic and have a thirst for knowledge.
My Project
These items will help me keep the materials I need organized so I can transport them from school to home. I will use the containers and file folders to keep read aloud books for both ELA and Social Studies. When Covid shut down schools in March I did not have all the materials I needed easily accessible This will allow me to keep everything in one easy to reach and transport place!
I will need the mat to keep under my computer so that I can easily use it for Zoom calls and to keep my google classroom up to date!
