Help me give my students engaging and rewarding books to read as homework prizes.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Smith's classroom raised $166

My Project
Many of my students do not have books at home or library cards. Sometimes, the only books they have are the ones they check out from our school library each week. Students who read and return reading logs 95% of the time within a quarter are eligible to earn a reading prize: a book of their choice!
My students have been excited and motivated to read both inside and outside of the classroom.
When they're hooked on a high interest book, my students look forward to reading for long periods of time.
These books would be used to reward students who are reading at home. Students who met their reading goal would be able to take home a book of their own to keep, which is a big deal for my students. To see their faces light up at the thought of being able to keep and cherish a book of their own would be the highlight of my year.
Please consider helping my students earn a book for their hard work!
Our classroom is also in need of a portable whiteboard classroom easel that we can clip anchor charts to for student reference. This will be very handy for math and reading!
