Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a very special first grade class. My students come to school excited for the day. They come with different needs and are very supportive of one another. They are kind and respectful to their peers and myself.
What I love most about my students is their positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
They always look forward to learning something new. They really love to collaborate with one another and demonstrate their learning. I am honored to be their teacher!
My Project
With these books, I will be able to provide my students with an amazing classroom library that is filled with a variety of books that interests them. When students find a book that they truly enjoy, they grow a greater appreciation for reading. This appreciation for reading motivates them to practice and strengthen their reading skills.
Students who are successful readers are more likely to succeed in other academic areas, and I believe that these books are a major stepping stone to my students' success.
As their teacher, I can say that my students are terrific and deserve the absolute best.
