Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project includes an updated iPad and an external DVD player so that students can record themselves making reading and writing presentations and explaining math process. I include a major focus on fluency in my classes. I require my students to speak in full sentences when I call on individuals to provide answers. I want to have my students record presentations and math skills work so they better understand the academic processes and become more comfortable explaining their work. This will help all of the students in my classroom, especially my English Language Learners.
The more my students are challenged by these situations, the less worrying their first big presentations will become.
The experience of watching ourselves on film is decidedly odd, and may be quite uncomfortable.
