My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. My students are all different types of learners and have various backgrounds. I have students who do not speak English, students with disabilities, and some students who are homeless.
I teach at a Title I school in New York where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive food and clothing from the school's charity drives. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
These fans will help to keep the students cool in the classroom so they can focus during the hot summer temperatures.
Our classroom doesn't have air conditioning and we are on the third floor, which causes our classroom to be intolerably hot!
In addition, most of the windows in our classroom are sealed shut and cannot be opened. The two windows that can be opened only open about 6 inches, for safety reasons of course.
These fans would help circulate air and provide the students with some relief from the heat. In turn, that would help the students focus on their learning instead of how uncomfortable they are all the time.
