Hello! I teach in an elementary school in the West. I have second graders who love to read.

Every person learns at a different rate. My students are reading at many different reading levels. My class library does not have many levels of interesting books. I would like to build a multi-leveled selection of books specifically to address the lack of variety it currently has.

My students need more books on multiple topics and at various reading levels. This will give students with many tastes and reading levels a greater say in what they read.

When students choose, they build a vested interest in doing their best. When they have a wide selection to choose from, they get excited. I want reading in our classroom to be awesome! As a result, I am asking for help to expand my reading group library. As student interest grows in reading, comprehension levels will increase and the result will be better reading levels for everyone. By empowering my students through greater choice in their learning, I hope to instill in children a love for reading which is lifelong.
