Relief for Wheel Chair Kids!

My students need bean-bag chairs for relief and a break from their wheelchairs! We need three large (adult) sized bean-bag chairs. My students in wheelchairs will take turns having breaks to stretch and rest.

I teach a special education classroom filled with delightful 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. We are part of a wonderful, diverse elementary school in Washington State.

Several of my students use wheelchairs for mobility. These students both need breaks from their chairs in order to stretch, rest and avoid pressure sores.

I would love to offer these students comfortable in bean-bag chairs, relaxing their muscles, while I read to all the students during story time. These students will feel better and be more focused after these much-deserved breaks!

Please help these kids be more comfortable and successful in school! Our students in wheelchairs are becoming readers and gaining skills in math and other important areas. But they also have unique physical needs that we want to meet. You can be central to this: support these students in comfortable bean bag chairs.
