Relief for Students Affected by Hurricane Sandy

My students need nonperishable food, such as oatmeal and tuna lunches, as well as cleaning supplies, such as clorox wipes and paper towels. They are without basic necessities due to Hurricane Sandy.

My Students

Hurricane Sandy destroyed the homes of many students at our school. As teachers, we've joined forces to help make things a little bit easier during this time of tragedy and loss. Won't you please contribute to our efforts to provide our students with basic necessities as they begin to rebuild?

We have a diverse student population, but our kids have one thing in common - many lived right on the beaches of Brooklyn, where Hurricane Sandy did the most damage.

Our students are just getting power back this week and are finally returning home to begin clean-up efforts. Our students need healthy, non-perishable food items like oatmeal and tuna to help get them through the next few weeks and months as their families begin to rebuild. They also need cleaning supplies, as they start to deal with the destruction and begin the process of recovering.

My Project

Your generous donation will make life a little bit easier for a teenager during the struggle to rebuild after Hurricane Sandy. Our teachers and student government have been assembling care packages for students each day. We're including items such as food, toiletries and cleaning supplies. Your donation helps us put these care packages together. Perhaps a hungry student will be able to focus in class thanks to the oatmeal or tuna provided through your donation. Thank you!

This project will make a difference because it will provide students, who have suffered greatly over the last few weeks, with basic necessities - food and cleaning supplies.

Without the basics, kids just can't learn in a classroom. Your help is greatly appreciated.
