"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Dr. Seuss As the Second grade small group reading teacher it is essential that I capture my students interest with rigor and relevance, one way is by utilizing technology such as the iPad.
I am a highly qualified teacher, teaching eager and enthusiastic students who are ready to learn.
98% of the students are economically disadvantaged. Our school is a targeted assisted school which receives Title 1 funding in Michigan. My focus as the class size reduction teacher is to provide effective methods and instructional strategies to my 2nd grade students who are identified as needing extra support in reading and math. By having an iPad I will be able to use the various Apps to meet the particular needs of the learners.
I am requesting hands-on relevant technology for my students. By using an iPad I will be able to readily and easily keep track of reading data for my students. The students skill set will be readily assessed allowing me to to organize and customize my data for each student.
Your donation would make a significant impact in the lives of my second grade students.
The students thrive from using technology and it can be used as a motivator for success. By using the iPad, my students will be able to track their reading skills and can be motivated by the fact they can read, even beyond their grade level.
