it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, many students experience stress and need a space to decompress and recharge. To support their emotional well-being, I would like to create a calming area where students can take a break and refocus when needed. The headphones will allow students to listen to guided meditations or calming music, helping them relax and clear their minds. The Keurig coffee maker will provide students with the option to have a warm beverage, offering a comforting and soothing experience during stressful moments. The paper tray will be used to hold journal guides and other materials for reflective activities, allowing students to engage in self-reflection and mindfulness practices that can help reduce anxiety and promote focus. Additionally, the desk chair will provide a comfortable, ergonomic place to work, while the comfortable reclining chair will give students a cozy spot to unwind and relax when they need a break.
The lamps will create soft, inviting lighting, helping to set a calm atmosphere and reduce the harshness of fluorescent classroom lights, while the oil diffuser will fill the space with calming scents, promoting relaxation and focus.
These materials will work together to create a peaceful environment where students can manage stress, reflect, and return to their academic tasks feeling refreshed. By supporting this project, you’ll be helping to provide students with the tools they need to relax, reflect, and recharge, ultimately fostering a more focused and positive classroom atmosphere.
